Miles of Thanks

Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou!

My sister Jenny Cook for years of support, love and encouragement, especially for the miles of help with The Leeuwin Way CD.  Thank you too Bob - top bloke!

My mum, Shirley for allowing the miles to happen and being my favourite muso (still playing gigs!) and bless you too dad.  It was a great family to be a part of and still is.

My brother Brian for introducing me to the magic world of sailing and for the trailer that is now a bit broken.

My brother Ian for always giving sound advice, creative inspiration and for some of the best Chardonnay I've ever had.

My brother Don for being a good bloke, having a wonderful extended family (it's huge!) and keeping up the faith.

All my sons Jesse, Gareth, Matt and Dan for putting up with the strange sounds coming out of the studio and for being accepting of a weird dad.

Del, Chris, Matt and families for your laughter, love and ability to have a great time despite life's unfair turmoils and also for unconditionally accepting a nerd into your family. Keep playing that harp Chris - its gonna be the next big thing!  And Matt... get me a job as a jumbo pilot - I'm bored.

Special, special loving thanks to my wife Cathie for this would not have happened without her and thanks for helping me drink the best Chardonnay I have ever had and thanks of course for the marvelous artwork on "So Many Miles". I'll chef for you any day luvvy!

Huge thanks to my friend Guy Slingerland who has been there through the good and the bad times since the earliest of miles.  Thanks also for teaching me how to four wheel drive trough all types of terrain (our camping trips were some of the very best of the miles), for helping me make a wooden stool that the cat now sits on and for actually listening to me when I talk.

Also very special thanks to Tom Haran, Stephen Manassah and Andrew Wong Yen - the main men of the golden miles (The "Core").

Special thanks and appreciation to Ian Cocker for getting back together a bunch of weird old musos and giving us some  great music to work with as well as respecting each of our strange ways in an incredibly caring and patient manner (ie The Times - Guy, Stephen & myself).

Also to Dave Martin - haven't seen you for years but you really helped get me going in the music biz in those early years.  I haven't forgotten that.  Hope to catch up some day.

My music friends listed in the Milestones page plus:

Tony Cooper (Visitor).  Unfortunately we didn't get to record together but the spirit was always there and I always enjoyed your happy banter.

Greg Yeo (Yeoy) for the southern skies, much laughter and the Dingo red.

Stuart Thompson for the musical encouragement and keeping me involved in music since we moved south and also the loan of the Rhodes mike on tracks 5 and 7 of the album.

The Perth girls (you luscious sexy mob!) for giving Cath a great holiday at Yalingup every year so I can get out my old bad war movies and Genesis albums and let the dog sleep on the bed for a whole weekend.

The Bunbury friends especially Guy, Kylie, Liz and Dave for the warm friendships and laughs in this wonderful part of the world.

To Carmel & Trevor at Myalup Vines for the wonderful friendly times and having a lovely oasis to go to now and again when the housework looks too hard - and of course the great wine!

Doctor Dave Deeley! - Dave and the Dudes. So wonderful to catch up again on a meaningful basis - the environment and our childrens future.
